also on the peninsula we have our own christie smith. you're out there with some wet roadways on the peninsula. no one is immune from this. >> reporter: good morning to you. you know, the rain has been falling steadily since we got here before 4:00 this morning. got up at 2:30 and it was raining then. it's not raining as hard now as it was maybe an hour ago but again, it is steady and this is a result around the freeway, the exits here, there's maybe two to three inches at least ankle deep of standing water. what happens is that when the cars take this exit off of highway 92 from the san mateo bridge you can see they are surprised to see all of this standing water and their tires so deep in the water. and of course you were talking about this but it's caused problems throughout on the roadways where it's wet and slick and dangerous. and san francisco overnight at 101 and third, a driver in a convertible porsche 911 lost control, and slammed into a tree. there were minor injuries, the car was totaled, as you know sometimes those can go fo
