quakertown lighter snowfall expected for redding. as we head throughout the day, this is going to be a consistent 2 to 4 inches monday evening. monday night into tuesday, this is when the snow really starts to pile up. so by 6:00 a.m. on tuesday, we're still dealing with heavy rainfall coming down. that's going to push our snowfall totals 12 to 15 inches near quakertown. near pottstown, 8 to 12 inches. if you're just to the south of redding, closer to 5 to 8 inches. a lot of snow heading our way over the next 48 hours. we definitely want you to be prepared, especially as you head to work tomorrow morning and heading home tomorrow evening. but especially monday night heading into tuesday. as far as tonight is concerned, we have already steen snow moving in. and icy spots possible. 22 for the suburbs to the north and west. 27 will be our temperatures for philadelphia. overnight it will be a cold start to the morning. snow will become heavy as we head into monday night. our temperatures tomorrow will range between 26 and 32 degrees. we'

so the far northwestern suburbs including easton allentown, quakertown, pottstown downing ton reading we're looking at it beginning as snow and staying as snow as an extended period of time. then there will be some mixed precipitation, some sleet some freezing rain in that. minimal rain. you'll probably see a bitter of a changeover to rain during the day tomorrow but by then most of the moisture will be out of here. the i-95 corridor, this includes philadelphia, trenton, mount holly media salem and wilmington we're looking at a brief snow event tonight into about 2 o'clock in the morning by about 4 o'clock, this is all rain and we're looking at about a half inch to an inch of rain so that rain will be washing away a lot of the snow. and as i said, south jersey and delaware a few snowflakes at the onset but generally this is a soaking rain. could get more than an inch of rain. i think the most of the problems tomorrow as far as traveling will be the possibility of freezing rain. we found out last sunday just how dangerous freezing rain will be and we're looking at the potential for up

faced a flurry of problems over the past 12 hours they saw slick roads and bottled up traffic in the quakertown area. the snow began falling during the evening commute. drivers were being more cautious after being hit with the sunday's freezing roads. >> reporter: i think people were worried after the horrible scenes on sunday. this doesn't appear to be a problem on the roads we're scanning around some shots look slick, but we're not seeing problems though. looking live at the ben franklin bridge. nonetheless you have to look for slick spots. traffic is moving fine on the ben, because of the possibility of an icy patch here or there. they have reduced the speeds to 35 miles per hour. all the area bridges are reduced to 35-mile an hour speed restrictions. we're not seeing problems with mass transit, because of the weather conditions, new jersey rail and trains are honoring cross tickets. >> reporter: this is coming across the bay in south jersey, these are light and put down another coating. there's an advisory for freezing drizzle until 8:00 a.m. in terms of what things are looking like today.

quakertown 3. philadelphia international, 1.2. 2 1/2 in northeast philly. these numbers a lot lower than what we were expecting. new england getting the hardest hit out of this storm, still getting hard hit and even in new york city, not quite as much snow as they had expected. but long island connecticut, eastern massachusetts, they just got clobbered. you can see some of the snow still going on but breaking up a little bit, and the more it breaks up the lighter the snow gets. visibility tells us that. ten mile visibility means no restrictions because of the snow. but there is some in northeast philly and trenton and toms river and in bellmawr, new jersey. we had some lower visibility in south jersey a while ago, but even that has changed. now, we're going to look ahead to see what is coming. nothing over the next couple of days. but thursday we're dry and sunny in the morning. clouds increase during the afternoon. and this is a front that is coming in. thursday night, providing a little bit of light snow in the way it looks. some periods going into friday
