that was the reality that confronted the pentagon. so what the government did was they used private contractors, brokers, these kids, and companies like them, to go in and basically be the fall guys to do the dirty work, go deal with the sleazy politicians, go pay the bribes. go look the other way at everything about the quality and the way that these people operate. so, the kids had no clue about this, but from the outset they were set up to be the scapegoats if anything went wrong. this story i think really vividly illustrates what went wrong in afghanistan and iraq. how failure happened and how loss happened. and the government did everything it could to hide the story at every level, state, justice, defense, all these elements of government have done everything they can to hide what truly transpired, and so i say this with a little hyperbole, the this is a story that was never meant to come out, and i'm really glad i got the chance to do it. but here's another element to this which another -- what just described as the establishme
