trump's pick for epa scott pruitt is the latest to get to the nomination committee. we have manu raju with more. >> reporter: good morning. republicans changed the rules of the committee to advance a nomination of scott pruitt to head the epa to the floor without democrats present at the meeting. democrats boycotted that meeting for a second straight day to circumvent the committee rules that required democrats to be present at committee. they decided to change the rules and say if this instance it was okay to vote on strict party lines without democrats present to advance nomination to the floor. this happened after two other nominees followed a similar route to their eventual confirmation. tom price and steve mnuchin. next week, expect those to be final vote on the floor of the senate. later on friday, we are expecting the senate to break a filibuster of betsy devos to lead the education department. that will be the narrowest margin of 51-50 vote. jeff sessions has not been confirmed as attorney general. they kept his in committee longer to help betsy devos. vice p
