first alert traffic reporter jessica boyington with. we have some video right here taking just a moment ago of route 55. the southbound side closing out in franklin township. southbound just near route 40 is where this crash is taking out all of those southbound lanes right now. if you take a look at our map system here, this isha dealing with. this is route 40 right in here that crosses over so they are diverting traffic around the g through for now. there's an accident investigation because of the injuries sustained with the accident and also a fuel spill and there was a vehicle fire. so there's a lot of cleanup as well. my alternate would be to take this down. route 47, so you can take that all the way down and hop on to route 40 and continue going southbound there or hop back on to 55 after that point. so taking yourself southbound won't be a problem right now. not a lot of traffic or volume in the area as you can see. we'll check in on one more jersey road. 42 freeway, average speed there still into the 50s. no problems on the 42 f
