blake? reporter: let me walk you through some of this, trish. as you know when the tax bill was signed late last fall, that the republicans said you would have more tack-home pay. treasury, irs, is trying to accomplish just that. what happened is the release of tax tables which tells employers, if your employee makes x-amount of money here what you should with hold, dalely, biweekly, monthly, annually, et cetera. the goal from the treasury department to get employers to initiate the takes home pay cuts because of this new tax code. here is where things though get a little bit murky. it involves the w-4 form. throw that up on the screen if you haven't already. this is the form when you start a job or on the job and you want to fill out exemptions you fill it out, you say how many personal exemptions you have. here is the issue, trish. that exemption issue was with the old tax code. the new tax code wipes away personal exemptions. because they have had to turn this over so fast, the w-4 forms
