( james ) in the south bay... authorities have identified the man killed in a motorcycle crash over the weekend. the crash happened saturday morning on highway 101...just south of metcalf road in san jose. c-h-p says 41-year-old khoa ha hit a stalled car that he didn't see partially blocking the road. he was thrown from the bike and he died at the scene. the crash is still under investigation. ( darya ) california lawmakers have introduced legislation that would allow safe injection sites in san francisco. former governor jerry brown vetoed a similar bill last year. if approved... the measure would implement a pilot program for three years... allowing the city to create the nation's first safe injection sites. mayor london breed has been a large proponent of the sites... arguing they would take drug users off the streets... and place them into facilities with access to counseling. the department of justice has said... it opposes the establishment of the sites.
