they will determine who the iowa chairman's. they will determine the rules of the iowa democratic party's. i guess that's important for the aisle democrats but not for the rest of the country. at the end of the day, i expect will definitely happen is that mr. would adjudge and i will end up with the same amount of delegates, 11 now each, probably a little bit more. that is what can happen in a given change. and what's not going to change in terms of a popular vote we won a decisive victory. see max's center there has been a lot of accounting issues and issues of the iowa democratic party. how should people respond to that should they trust our democratic party? >> i really do feel bad for the people of iowa. i have been all over the state, as you well know. we have held i think a hundred and 20 rallies and town meetings and these are serious people who are trying to do the best they can in determining who the best candidate for president is. i think what has happened with the iowa democratic party is an outrage. that they were t

they will determine who the iowa chairman is, they will determine the rules of the iowa democratic party, very important, i guess, for iowa democrats, but not important for the rest of the country. at the end of the day, what will i expect most definitely happen is that mr. buttigieg and i will end up with the same amount of delegates, 11,000 each, probably a little bit more. that's what will happen. it ain't going to change. and what's certainly not going to change that in terms of the popular vote, we won a decisive victory. gary? >> reporter: senator, there's been a lot of counting issues and issues with the iowa democratic party. how should people respond to this, should they trust the iowa democratic party here? >> i think what you should trust are two things. number one -- and i really do feel bad for the people of iowa, because i've been all over the state, as you well know, we've held i think 120 rallies and town meetings. and these are serious people who are trying to do the best they can in determining who the best candidate for president is. and i think what has happened with

it's unclear when the results will be announced for now iowa is on committees. uncommitted but everybody is laser focused on iowa want to take you now to our correspondent. how the fully ileus is in washington d.c. watching this all unfold how low how have the stakes just got so much higher for the democratic presidential hopefuls as a result of these poll problems in iowa. i laid it well it's definitely given us plenty to discuss that's for sure and we saw a little bit of the action from all you would there but it was interesting to see how mayor pete but a judge essentially declared himself the winner and disposed the longer that we don't have a result it's almost probably good for him and so a ways because it sort of more and more people believe that he was the winner but at the moment we also saw how bernie sanders and amy clover shar rallies with sort of plenty of celebration elizabeth warren a little bit more conservative will say in her approach she had been expected to do very well in iowa but of course very tight lipped as so far but it's interesting to

they give us at the iowa caucuses on monday night. even though the vote calculations have been extremely slow, we are now at a point with some 97 percent of the precincts reporting where our campaign is winning the popular initial vote by some 6000 votes, in other words, from 6000 more islands came out on caucus night to support our candidacy than the candidacy of anyone else. and when 6004 people come out for you in an election, when your nearest opponent, we here in northern new england, whole that a victory. further in iowa, as you all know there is a realignment process. where people who supported a candidate with less than 15 percent in the room, can cast a vote in a second-round for a different candidate. that is the realignment process. in that process, we are now ahead by over 2500 votes. in a election with voter turnout of approximately 180,000 people, and with eight strong candidates competing, and victory margin of some 6000 votes is pretty decisive. and the reason that happens, is because of the unprecedented grassroots ef

iowa didn't have a problem yesterday. iowa's had a problem for years and years and years. what last night did was expose it. and who knows what's going to happen from here, when they have their press conferences, it's not going to get better, it's probably going to get worse. what's important is what you said. katie touched on something, in that we keep reacting to previous elections by overreacting. if you look at the demographic issue, yes, iowa is lily white, new hampshire is lily white. part of the solution to that is nevada and south carolina forward the idea is, in the month of february, have you these four contests that hit the full spectrum of the democratic party. by the time you get to south carolina and nevada, sometimes it's over. it would be one thing if there were a super monday where all four went the same day or the same week. this is not the way it works, and iowa's been a money pit for years. if i were a candidate last night, i would be thankful, iowa is the grim repeater, usually it takes two, three candidates every three or four years, it took none last
