"the new yorker" article was about our representation of mary and leon adams, an african-american couple in philadelphia. prosecutors brought a civil forfeiture against their own because their adult son was engaged in small marijuana sales to a confidential informant. it had nothing to do with mary and leon adams. they were 68 and 70 years of a
