heaviest rain around atlanta metro. this is the entire region that got flooded out a couple weeks ago. alabama got flooded out as well. more rain today. 3 to 5 inches total between now and wednesday. something we're watching. the flash flood watches are out there as areas shaded in dark green, light shaded green flooding already occurring. flood warnings in those counties you see shaded in bright green. as for the rest of the region, here's where the rain will hit in toward north georgia over the next 48 hours hours. red shades you see there is 5 inches of rain. computer models thinking that's pretty much right online. cold temperatures out there. freeze warnings in areas shaded in purple. all of the temperatures below freezing here for the catskills and poconos and alleghenies and northern parts of the country down to omaha back in toward south dakota stretching in toward minneapolis and there are advisories for the morning good for an additional 1 to 2 inches of snow. i don't think it will accumulate on the roads but
