talking for years now, i'm a construction engineer and we have been talking about the deficiencies in the faa in new and attacking aircraft flights in this country, we've been talking about bridges. in detroit and we just found out recently there is a number of over the water bridges that haven't been looked at as they were supposed to be in a 06, 07 and 08 and also the bridges that goes over to windsor maybe you heard about, i don't know, but it is in some questionable state. i looked at the number of bridges in this country and i believe it's in the 500,000 range and you think that if we only were to look at those bridges and investigate to what state they are in except the ones receiving a routine maintenance, just the bridges along if you were to initiate engineering contracts to have them investigated and looked at, that's going to more and then -- it would have to spread out into heavy equipment and other contracts which would lead to a suppliers. maybe that simplistic but this seems to me that would be the case and also separating source systems, improving waste treatment and water to

down the entire airport but i'm just now getting a late word now it was temporarily shut down, the faa shows that it is open now, with some pretty lengthy delays. take a look at this picture out of boston logan international airport where a plane was evacuated after smoke was reported inside the cabin. this was a delta connector flight, a commuter flight, and it stopped on runway 33l. you'll notice that's like the only runway that got plowed there, because they got a lot of bad weather, as we're getting hit badly in the east with cold and ice and snow as everybody is, and that's part of the reason the runway was shut down. they didn't have a lot of options, passengers backed off that flight because of a light haze or smoke in the cabin. no injuries reported in this, and we're still trying to clarify if the plane got off the ground, because it either got off the ground and returned or the takeoff was aborted. we know the 28 passengers on board evacuated safely. this situation out of boston logan is one we're watching down here in the newsroom. jane? >> jane: harris, thanks. jon: you see

years now -- i'm a construction civil engineer, and we have been talking about the deficiencies of the faa and the tracking of aircraft flight in this country. we have been talking about bridges that -- here in detroit we just found out recently that m-dot found out there's a number of over the water bridges we have not been looked at as they were supposed to be, and the bridge at goes over to winsor -- maybe you heard about that -- but it's in some questionable state. and i looked at the number of bridges in this country, and i believe it's in the -- over 500,000, and you would think that if we only were to look at those bridges and investigate as to what state of -- state they're in, except for the ones receiving routine maintenance -- just the bridges alone, if you were to initiate engineering contracts to have them investigated and looked at, that's going to more than -- would have to spread out into heavy equipment and other contracts, which would lead to suppliers. maybe that's simplistic, but seems to be that would be the case, and also separating sewer systems, improving waste trea
