keith daniels, fox 45 news "late edition". >> all right, keith thank you. the storm is hitting every neighborhood, as you can well imagine. you can think. myranda stephens has been watching the streets in baltimore city. she joins us live from canton. myranda what is going on down there? well,, jeff, i am here along boston street in canton. where you can see the road is covered in snow. we saw a snow plow plow go through here about 10 minutes ago. so the roads are actually still passable throughout the area here in canton. but boston street is like a lot of streets across the city, that are considered snow emergency routes. earlier today, the city officials announced that all vehicles need to be removed from any snow emergency route, so that snow plows can get through the streets and remove the snow. but plows are not the only thing that are going to be out on the road. the national guard actually will have their humvees out to help fire, city fire, and police, respond to any emergencies. >> we cannot moo new years eve around in the cars or trucks we have,

we've worked very closely with colonel mike foster and sergeant keith horn, who have been -- who are truly exceptional men in the 82nd airborne. and it has been such an experience working with these people. and we've got the doctors in our group are tirelessly going out on what they call tailgating strikes with the military, where they go into camps, approximately six doctors at a time in the morning. we also do -- we have a trauma specialist who goes out and gathers enormous groups of children in the camps. we've targeted two camps in particular at this point. one camp which borders the military base and our base camp on the perimeter. and then also we have a kind of satellite camp that we're able, with the size of our organization is now, to administer food distribution. so we did our first food distribution the other day to 1,800 people at the st. teresa camp. but what we're doing is we're trying to be very fluid and respond to a crisis that's almost un-respondable to. when we left, i heard some very silly woman who said something, well, it's got to be covered, you know, all of th

at a joint economic hearing, bureau of labor statistics commissioner keith hall said a rise in temporary hiring last month could suggest job growth to come. >> in past recessions, a pickup in temporary help services has preceded a pickup in payroll job growth, so the fact that temporary help services added 52,000 jobs this month and a quarter million over the past four months or so, i would consider to be an indicator of potential payroll job growth. >> brown: still, revised data from last year shows past job losses were actually worse than previously reported. since the recession began more than two years ago, the nation has shed 8.4 million jobs. looking to make up for those losses, the president has recently put forward proposals targeting areas of job creation, including tax credits and the help for small businesses he talked up again today. yesterday, senate democrats announced they were working on their own proposal, but said they're still hammering out details in a bid to win republican support. the house passed a democratic- led jobs bill in december. in the meantime, uncertainty
