christie smith is live in vallejo with more on the web of murder. good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you. investigators believe the man at the center of it all may have flown into a rage because he thought his girlfriend was having an affair with either a father or a son. but that doesn't provide a clear connection as to why two bodies were found in a vallejo home that also contained explosives. 63-year-old segundia allen and her friend, marcarisa smart were reported missing late last week. tuesday night their bodies were discovered in allen's vallejo home and they had been there for some time. it gets more strange. inside there were chemicals, lots of them. c4, and dynamite. allen's husband is known as a chemical engineer, so investigators want to know why he had the chemicals at home, but also the bigger question, did he know the bodies were in the house, apparently officers noticed a strange odor. >> when he was confronted with the fact that bodies were located in his residence, that we believe he may have been involved. he did not react
