this is going to go into central and southern california. but it will continue the onshore wind and take that fog and start ramping it up over the next 24 hours. temperatures, which were way above average yesterday, they should be around 65 to 68. we're in the low and mid-80s. including napa. and 83 yesterday. 75 today. 65 in san francisco. down 13. walnut creek. still warm to kind of warm, with 70-degree temperatures due to higher clouds. they'll cool down tomorrow. 68 in oakland. and the fog is back. 54 in san francisco. there were 62 at this time yesterday. so therein lies the problem. the fog is pretty thick. palo alto, 52. 30s in the mountains. 50s and 60s, down in southern california. one more day of rather toasty conditions in southern cal. but they'll cool down saturday, as a system right there, this low, heads down toward them. that will cool them. our rain on sundays. it's looking better and better, as we get closer to it. fog returns. cooler, coast in the bay. if you live inland. you work in the city. you'll notice a big differenc

one system offshore that will get split apart and dive into southern california. tonight and saturday a slight chance of showers. a cooler start to the weekend and highs dropping off for saturday. sunday looks to be the main event. snow levels close to 6,000 feet in the sierra. if you head to lake tahoe, bring the snow cables for the weekend. in terms of rainfall projection, you can see the totals starting to stack up about a half inch to an inch for most of the bay area and all the rain coming down around midday. around the bay area, a mix of clouds and sun. 78 degrees around san jose. 60s on the coast. we will see the sea breeze picking up and just a little bit of cooling for the coast and peninsula. inland with 70s and that will continue towards the north bay. temperatures cooling and a slight chance of a shower, but sunday is the main event. big drop in temperatures and cooler and breezy into the start of next week. >> when your body tells you it's time to hang up the tennis racket, it doesn't have to be the end of the time on the court. a new sport is gaping

now, i don't think i need to remind you that a lot of folks in the central valley and southern california get their water through the delta. and they expect that it will be fresh rather than salty. now that i've completely depressed you, let me give you the good news. even though i showed you a map of san francisco international airport under water in 2100, it won't happen. san francisco won't become the venice of the west. silicon valley won't become the loss city of atlantis, and salt water won't come out the taps in southern california. why? because however much it costs we can't afford to let this happen. so we will build levies around the airports, we will build a seawall around the san francisco waterfront. flood control is already being incorporated into the planning for the salt pond to wetland conversion project in the south bay and we'll change the way we store and move fresh water around california. economically, we don't have any other choice. but the cost will be enormous. and where we'll get the money and what other important investments and expenditures we'll have to forego

dry across southern california. the temperatures to the south and 80s with high fire danger around the mountains across southern california. the big story from now through the first half of next week is high pressure taking the storm track and sending it way off to the north. we seal warming and drying conditions around california for today. straight on through the weekend that means temperatures will climb into the 70s. a few spots are getting close to 70 despite the chilly start. about 65 in san francisco and by sunday we could see near 70 around san francisco. 67 for oakland and 70 around fairfield and north and east bay hilltops breezy at times. that is something we will see for the start of the welcome. look at the temperatures. 70s around most of the bay area for the end of the weekend. early next week is dry and thursday and friday may see more clouds and cooling. for november, nice weather. 70s for the weekend and into the beginning of next week. >> just because black friday is several weeks away, doesn't me
