navy 1977 when i matriculated at the military medical school in bethesda. my parents could not afford me to medical school the only way was to a list in the navy which you all paid for and i got us scholarships spending 12d years of your life i said 924 years because it was that exciting. really the military allowedup me to become the person that i am. of the things that i learned about focusing on what the mission was about. and it supersedes whatever is going on. the other thing it taught mein was the respect for authority. looking at my leaders with a wonderful mentors who guided me along and then promoted me along the way. and also taught me to be understanding to look out for mynd troops those who served with me and under you're only as good as theed people that you work with. i learn about camaraderie but also not about burning youror bridges because sooner or later you need help from those people that you serve with.bu but in the end it wasd it serving a higher purpose and ta that is what gave me the courage because i believe in something higher for

navy. i joined the u.s. navy in 1977 when i matriculated at the medical school in bethesda. my parents continue afford to send me, the only way to do it was a full scholarship, you just pay them back 12 years of your life, and i stayed on for 24 because it was that exciting. i learned a lot from the military. it really allowed me o become the person i am. and the things i really learned about was focusing on what the mission was about. what was our job, what was our mission, and that supersedes somebody's ego, supersedes whatever's going on. the other thing it taught me was respect for authority. and looking at my leaders and the people i served under, i was really fortunate to have wonderful role models and mentors who believed in me and guided me along and promoted me along the way. also taught me to be understanding and look out for my troops, the people who served with me and under me because you really, you're only as good as the people you work with and work as a team. i learned about camaraderie, but i also learned about not burning your bridges because sooner or late

the navy should do the cleanup. i would suggest we build the necessary fortifications to save the lives of the people who are there right now. i participated in other cda's and they never kept their promise. hunters point eliminated rental units. they neutralized the community fund. the cannot be trusted. that is my subjective opinion. what we need here is some deliberation about the financing aspect. the infrastructure financing district has not been tried or tested on such a large scale. we just cannot take it for granted. what we have here is a moving target with a lot of amendments , the documentation that is not transparent. you notice the same three planning commissioners who were against hunters point were against treasure island. we need to get a bigger group of planners on our side. i know the developer wants to make money. but for some consistency, we have to provide good affordable housing. we did this at the presidio with swords to plowshares. i know what i am talking about. i am in talks with the united
