don sanchez is here with the latest. >> parents and teachers tearfully accepted his diploma today. joe was a victim of a fight in a club in january. he was beaten. investigators released surveillance video of the suspect. this is the man police are trying to find seen in a temple club bar before the attack. he is an asian male with a sleeve tattoo on his right arm. allegedly a woman attacked a by stander with high heels and the victim's family had to relive the pain of their lost. >> graduation in the school of medicine, it is a day of happiness and tragedy for the family of joe hernandez, killed in the fight. instead his family shared the moment together and alone. >> it is going to be real hard. i mean, he's supposed to be here today . we are here for him. >> his sister and friends wore the button with joe's picture. >> he loved to be with his family all of the time . we very much miss him. >> he was the best son anybody could have. he is loves and compassionate. >> the graduates are friends who gave them a standing ovation. >> he worked hard for the. we are real proud of him. >>

in san francisco, don sanchez, abc 7 news. >> extra ferries will be running sunday morning. the alameda oakland ferry line begins its summer weekend schedule today. there's a link to the departure times at abc7news.com. santa clara police are looking for any information about the killing a man known around town as the church man he got his nickname because he went to church every day and always carried a bible. police found him passed out and bleeding from his head early thursday morning. he died within minutes. they are investigating his death as a homicide. there is a $5,000 reward for information in this case. the giants fan who was beaten at dodgers stadium in march is now stable enough to come back to the bay area. according to the l.a. county medical center where he is now, 41-year-old bryan stow could be transferred to san francisco general hospital as soon as monday morning. stow is still in a coma and his condition remains critical but he has now opened his eyes and he is responding to stimulation. coming up next, officials say it is the one thing they never expecte
