roberta is here to tell us how long this warm weather will last and roberta, i got to say, it was really tough to come into work today. it was so gorgeous. >> i'm just loving dr. kim. she always has that umbrella handy. that's a woman who listens to the weather forecast. she has the umbrella for the forecast and for the rain. this is the scene of one of the warmest spots across the bay area at this hour. this is dublin in all of its glory. taking a sneak peek towards mount diablo where currently the air temperature there is still in the low 90s. in fact, we have 92 degrees in concord and also in livermore. but meanwhile, as we take you to the city by the bay, the city of san francisco, we have a little bit of fog that's lurking off the immediate seashore keeping the temperature in the city right now at 67. but so far today we peaked out in the low 70s. this is not so far the warmest day of the year. that occurred back on may 5 and 6 when we had highs in the mid- 90s. 86 degrees currently in santa rosa. 84 degrees in redwood city. it's now in the low 80s in san jose after yesterday's high

roberta is here with the latest on the stormed we are following. roberta. >> let's get right to it, it's our live hi-def doppler radar. we haven't used it since june 5, the last time we have had measurable precipitation and now we continue to see the pockets of heavy rain in the east bay. the evening commute is a mess because of the wet conditions. here you have your 580/680 corridor a pocket of heavy rain in fremont. heavy precipitation continues to fall in and around the san jose area where so far, we are starting to tally up to .25" of rain. now, all the rainfall totals aren't in as of yet. they come in about 5:30 but it's easy to say and the highest elevations of the north bay we have seen up to a full inch of rain. san francisco alone has seen about 6/10" of rain and we continue to see these little spotty hit and miss scattered showers. let's give you a history report. at 11 a.m. this morning, this is the front. this is the cold front as it slices through the bay area. look at the heaviest precipitation as it drifts to the east and now here we

speaking of weather, roberta is live in palo alto where people are taking advantage of this weather on the golf course. >> you cleaning up sand too? >> the only thing i know about golf is to clean up after everybody when it's all done. that's about it, right? what a day to be out here in palo alto. currently we have 99 degrees here in palo alto, it's definitely the hottest day of the year. and it looks like this heat wave is going to stick around a couple days with it peaking tomorrow on the first day of summer. let's go in an take a look at the temperatures on the microclimates, 76 degrees in san francisco, low 90s in san jose, and the warmest locations happen to be about 97 degrees both in concord and in livermore. but what really concerns me about all of this is that the relative humidity is at 18%, which is extremely dry, which means we have high potential for fire danger. now, meanwhile, if you're out and about this evening, we're gonna keep the temperatures in the 70s to the 90s at least for the next 60 to 90 minutes, we'll gradually cool down. it is a spare the air day tomorrow.
