behind me here is astro park here in oakland. it is at lakeshore and mcarthur boulevard and they are proposing a half acre fenced-in dog park here. right now as you can see from the sign here, no dogs are allowed in the park and that is a similar theme throughout several city parks. they have been working on the plan for 10 years, this fenced- in dog park. the commission gave preliminary approval for it in december but a lot of neighbors got upset about it. they were concerned that this green area was going to turn sort of brown and obviously have more commotion, noise. they are concerned that it would ruin the neighborhood so those neighbors came one their own plan coming up with a dog park at the old police horse stables. that's near children's fairyland here in oakland. it's near an oak grove. it's out of view but dog enthusiasts say that would be more difficult to get to. plus it took so long for them to come up with this plan, 10 years, they are afraid starting with a new plan will make the dog park very far away. now, the c

our big story is in oakland again. the 29th avenue off-ramp remains shut down until about 6:30 because of an overnight police chase and crash so until this traffic alert is lifted, use 23rd as an alternate or mass transit. so far everything is on time, bart, ace, muni metro and caltrain. let's go to the roads show you what else is going on. here's live look at milpitas near the 880/237 interchange. so for silicon valley commuters, you're looking pretty good all the way towards san jose. the rest of the south bay looks great. these are all live traffic sensors. you can see mostly green on our live traffic sensors. 101 from morgan hill looks good. no major issues really all along the peninsula. flight to sfo no troubles getting there. better news now in marin. all lanes are clear northbound 101 at 37. i had mentioned this accident at the top of the show. for a while a couple lanes were blocked but they just cleared it to the right shoulder so you may see some activity there but again, the freeway is completely open excep
