ktvu's news crews were on the ground talking to people impacted by the raids. this hour we're also hearing from oakland police. we have continuing team coverage. tara moriarty is live at the snow park location with more on what's happening there. but we begin with allie rasmus with the site of the street blockade. >> reporter: the raid on the encampment in downtown oakland happened nearly eight hours ago. some of the people lined up along the metal barricades, some are protesters, some are supporters and some are just onlookers. you can see there is still a law enforcement presence out here and then further off in the distance where you see frank ogawa plaza. you can see the remainder of some tents and some manners there. a short time ago. you can't see them now. we saw some city workers in orange vests, cleaning up of what was left of this encampment. it all started at 4:30 a.m., we could see motorcycles roaring down the street and police in riot gear lined up. little by little, they moved into the demonstrators' encampment. this man watched the raid lap. >> a

eric savidge, ktvu channel 2 news. >>> ktvu news learned that the ntsb will not be investigating a crash involving an amtrak train that injured dozens of people in contra costa county last night. it's a story we first brought you on the 10:00 news. 37 partners and two amtrak crewmembers were released from hospitals the driver and the passenger of the big rig were not hurt. the train continued bakersfield after 1:00 this morning. police say the big rig was crossing the tracks east of the breaking and enteringwood north of discovery bay when the transcibe hit it. the crossing has no gates or warning lights. >>> a plan robbed and beaten on the streets of oakland has died more than a week after the attack. the alameda county coroner's confirmed 3-year-old brian little i have tracy died at the hospital. on september 21st police say he was robbed and beaten in the 800 block of international boulevard. he wasn't to the hospital to be treated and shortly after suffered a heart attack. >>> anyone with information is asked to call police. >> wet weather is on the way and that means the fire season

claudine wong, ktvu channel 2 news. >> okay. the lock june, we've heard cupertino union school district officials remain open but the students are being held inside the classroom as a precaution. we've also heard from an employee at apple, which is in cupertino, those employees have been told to stay inside their offices during the search for this gunman. ktvu is also learning more about the suspect who at one point hosted his own tv show. sal castanedo has been looking online and finding out more about shareef allman. sal joins us in the noom. sal? >> well, we're getting our first look at the suspect named by police. tori. >> the name of my show is real torrieo -- >> that's 45-year-old shareef allman. he's on a tv program. he was a distributer for an educational act sose tv "create tv." his show was called "reel to reel." several episodes have been uploaded. at one point he interviewed jesse jesse jacksons. >> i hope what he gave to us, we take out to the community. >> on his show we see allman pictured with very celebrities --

-- on ktvu. the owners of the building behind me just finished cleaning all of the walls and the windows and even the streets and sidewalks out here. you can see it's still wet over there by the wall green's. they are mostly getting rid of garbage and graffiti. you can see the city sent out a cleaning crew with power washers. oakland police say this has been the bulk of damage downtown. we talked with the tour -- with a -- with a tourist who got tear gassed in the scuffle between police and protesters. >> i think they might have been able to handle it better as far as crowd control. but i can understand their side, too, for safety in the city. >> now, the city is also doing quite a bit of cleanup behind the barriers in frank ogawa plaza. you can see they are raking up the area. according to the "occupy oakland" twitter, protests are scheduled again for tonight at 6:p.m. and they say every night at 6:00 p.m. until they "retake the plaza." oakland police say they plan to be out here in the evening.
