you can see the difference between the cold air that's out in the west and the rockies down toward albuquerque and the warmth out ahead of the storm system. dallas is 71 this morning. even detroit and nashville in the 50s. all of that warm air being drawn up ahead of this line of showers and storms. frontal boundary, pretty significant storm system. several tornadoes in oklahoma yesterday and last night. this morning, still tornado watches across texas with a lot of heavy rain extending up into parts of missouri. all of this will be moving off toward the northeast but the front with that, that will be getting here thursday. looks like it will be a much weaker system by the time it gets here. a couple of showers expected. between those storms and us, there's not much going on except for tropical storm shawn. the high pressure controls the weather once again. we sit good. we're good for this afternoon. we're good for tonight. perhaps a little bit of cloudiness and fog. i don't think we'll see the showers like they're being developed. drizzle in the coastal areas as we get into the overnight hour
