but what's the right way today to remember andy rooney? >> i think andy would have wanted to be remembered as a writer, primarily. and i think that andy proved that television is a writer's medium, not a visual medium, that it's the power of ideas over pictures, you know, andy's segment didn't well contain a lot of visuals, if any. usually it was just him sitting there, illustrating his points n along the ways. and i used to say to you guys, listen, think of what you have to say first and then worry about how you're going illustrate it later. and andy proved that. and, you know, that's a -- to his everlasting credit. i think the other thing that he illustrates is that you never know which way your life is going to go. i mean, he didn't really become andy rooney we know and love today until -- i think he was in the 60s is when he started appearing on "60 minutes." and up until then, he was going a completely different direction. and, you know, for all those 50 and 60-year-olds out there, who knows what is around the corner, you guys? >> tha

quite known for his on eric cantor, andy macphail -- his on air candor, andy rooney has passed away. it was only last month that he signed off from 60 minutes. he was 62. boxing great joe frazier is seriously ill with liver cancer. the former heavyweight champion is now under hospice care after being diagnosed about one month ago. those close to the 67-year-old say they are hoping for the best, the say his condition is extremely serious. if you can recall, joe frazier was the first boxer to defeat then champ muhammed ali in the fight of the century in the 1970's. a former penn state coach is at the center of a grand jury investigation. jerry sandusky was arrested today after eight boys alleged he inappropriately touched them. the school athletic director and administrator were also charged for failing to report the trail of sexual abuse. jerry sandusky spent 32 years coaching at penn state before retiring in 1999. he was released on $100,000 bail. big story. >> terrible story. we will move on from that. the orioles are getting closer to signing a gm. we have some news on that. plus,
