we're checking in with jason brooks with kcbs and cbsmoneywatch.com. what's going on, jason? >> reporter: good morning, grace. good morning, frank. we're just more of the same with the euro debt crisis. that horrible day one day and a bounceback the next. yesterday the blue chips lost 400 points all centered on political and economic instability in italy. markets feeling a little better about italy. the country sold about $6 billion worth of bonds at a much lower interest rate than what was expected to be selling. that's key to keep those yields on italian bonds low enough so it can service its debt and avoid a potential default. there just isn't enough bailout money in europe to take care of italy like it's trying to do with greece which is much smaller than italy. so a little optimism there. some better news on the u.s. job market. weekly jobless claims fell by 10,000 to 390,000, the lowes level since april. the problem over the past several months is we have seen claims dip below 400,000 but then shot back up past that. need to see it sustained below 400,000 but the market
