kenneth carrethers is seeking damage after an incident at the coliseum station in 2008. he was apparently upset with officers after a car was broken into more than once. he argues that mehserle grabbed him and did a leg sweep to knock him down. other officers pumplged and kicked him before hog tying him. mehserle said that he grabbed his wrist and was doing this to try to keep from hitting the officer. he only did the leg sweep after several requests for this man to stop resisting. mehserle served two years for involuntary manslaughter in the shooting of oscar grant, an unarmed passenger, but has said it was an accident. the jury is very unlikely to hear a tbt grant case. we are told that this trial will likely last five days. reporting live in san francisco, christie smith, jon and laura, back to you. >>> the man accused of killing a san francisco police officer 40 years ago will be back in court today. ronald brijport will plead guilty to shooting at south san francisco officers who tried to arrest him for credit card fraud in 196. he originally pleaded no contest, but
