i do not want the sfpd out there as the bad guys. i saw something recently about cycling in the city of copenhagen, which we all hold up as a role model that we want to be like. the article said it to 25 years to get where they are, and we have tenures of may be good bicycle encouragement under our belt, so we have a way to go. in copenhagen, they are not tolerant of scofflaw cyclists. someone got a tip of running around without lights, and i do not know how much it was, but i think that is what we need to do. we have enough cyclists. we have to remind them that with the rights, responsibilities. we need to make its of the cyclists feel safe and give them a good set of rules. again, i do not want the s&p to simply be the bad guys on this. i just want this to be something where we are talking about safety and where we are talking about cycling, it is an accepted form. we need to hold ourselves, we need to hold ourselves accountable. president nolan: i will ask them to look at that, especially working with the other agencies. vice chai

that incident, myself and deputy director nicholas king looked into the issue, we've talked to both sfpd, managers and representatives of the venue. the venue was violating their good neighborhood policy. and we updated their reviced security plan from fluid. and -- revised their security plan from fluid. one was how to deal with altercations meaning pushing both parties insued outside into the street is not the smartest thing to do and two, aparently, party buses, there's up to three party buses involved in the altercation that evening. and so we wanted an update on their policy, around party buses. they were going to no longer allow party buses at their venue. we'll continue to watch them and follow up on them to see if that is actually the case. officer mathias is here from central and he'll talk about some of the issues that have happened in central station. one that i will bring up is the ambassador club which was an issue the club had with two patrons. security escorted the patrons out in the process one of the security guards was punched in the face, actually had his known broken.

you can see sfpd is wrapping up the investigation. they just reopened the roadway. it had been shut down between 18th and 21th, but the road is now back open. it's not clear what caused this investigation before 2:00 this morning. three officers were in an unmarked patrol car. that was a few blocks away at 24th. but as they were heading down patrero, something happened where the car swerved across the opposite lanes of traffic and slammed into a light pole. the car was totalled. remarkably, even though the officers were hurt, their injuries are not life threatening. cher expected to be okay. they are take on the nearby sf general. just a couple of blocks away. they were gree greeted by chiefs of police and fire department who made a special visit overnight to check on their brethren to make sure they are doing okay. now, as is standard in an investigation like this, the driver of the car will be tested for alcohol. but there's no indication that the officer was under the influence at the time of the acciden accident. >> all right. bob redell, thanks a lot. >> 6:03 r
