here is michele bachmann and ron paul. michele bachmann, you see, she never got anywhere near high. ron paul, popular with a different group. also, he's had some ups and downs. never really that high. you can see gingrich has a big advantage there. let's move them back over here and compare newt gingrich to some of the people who had performed more like him. rick perry for one. he came along here. same level as the others, then suddenly, gigantic spike in late september, then he fell off a cliff and has not recovered since. herman cain, bubbling along, gigantic spike, back down to nothing. now, i take those back, wolf, i want to show you one last thing and this is why what's happening in the carolinas is no interesting. here is mitt romney's performance from in may. he was higher than everyone. he basically stayed higher than everyone even though now he is below newt gingrich, the question is, is this one of those spikes that we saw with the other ones and is this ready to begin the crumbling of his campaign? is this as high as he can go? that's why all the people watching these rac

michele bachmann has slipped in the polls across the country. this is not just an iowa think it basically, michele bachmann got in the race, did a good job in the june and today, her debut. she impressed a lot of people, so they said, ok, i will give her a look. part of the problem with the bachmann campaign is that her message never went further than that she came in, she was going to repeal obamacare, she hit all the right notes, and then just kept hitting the same notes. when a fresh face like rick perry entered the race in august, people figured they had consumed as much bachmann as they could get and took a look at perry. she was never able to solidify his support she got early. -- the support she got early. now we see that her campaign is unraveling. we saw two high-profile members of her iowa campaign machinery, which is all she has left -- she has nothing in new hampshire -- both of them quit, one of them defecting to ron paul. >> ron paul, colby king, is the antithesis of what has been republican orthodoxy of muscular, even intervention

michele bachmann's campaign is in urbandale, iowa. that event is scheduled to get under way momentarily. one of the big stories out of iowa this week, michele bachmann's iowa campaign chairman defects and endorses ron paul. bachmann reacted by saying it was all about money. >> he quit and we've had the former campaign manager come out and say kent flat out told me he was getting money opinion he also said eric wolson, he told a lot of people. a people a mile long that he told he was getting money and all of those people are coming out of the wood work making themselves available. so kent sorenson and i had the conversation on phone. kent came out the our stop in indianaola, iowa and left with me yesterday. he left our event and went to the ron paul event. this is about money. this is about money. is this about the ron paul campaign seeing the floor is coming out. >> in fact, kent sorenson just attended a bachmann event four hours before announcing his departure to a crowd of ron paul supporters. >> tonight is four me. i've been servin
