the latest killings were discovered this morning at concord's new hall park. monty francis has that story. >> reporter: this is the horrific sight that greeted visitors saturday morning at concord's new hall park. at least four dead geese and a fifth injured and limping, which animal control officers said they could not retrieve. investigators say overnight, someone came into the park and shot the birds with a pellet or bb gun. >> i seen blood on one side but i didn't see an exit wound. >> reporter: this isn't the first time dead geese and ducks have turned up at new hall park. a few days ago ron found three of the large birds floating dead in the pond, also shot to death. >> there is two geese right here floating. and the duck was down further. pulled the tuck out of the water just to see what happened to him. because coyotes around here, stuff like that. >> reporter: it wasn't a coyote. investigators think the two incidents at new hall park, along with the killings of eight ducks and geese at willow pass park in concord three weeks ago, could all be related.

a little offshore breeze brought in the fog to fairfield, napa and concord. tonight we'll likely see the fog spilling in from the central valley with lows into the 30s and 40s. tomorrow morning out toward solano county, contra costa, alameda and napa counties will likely have the patchy fog and temperatures to wrap up the weekend in the 50s and 60s. winds go light. high pressure builds in on top of us. we get these overnight inversions which really trap the particular pollution. we have a spare the air day tomorrow with the worst air quality it looks like up toward the north bay counties and we'll maybe have another one of these monday into tuesday as long as things stay dry. speaking of staying dry, this chart here shows you the rain we should have by the end of the month. this is one of the wetter months we see but the rain halfway through right now is down here. you can see how dry things are. we still have two weeks to go but if this holds up, this would be the driest december since 1989 and unfortunately we're not seeing any rain here on the radar. it is
