the scandal ultimately cost the late joe paterno his head coaching job. school officials say he reported one possible assault but that cops argue they never heard about it. coach sandusky says he has showered and he has, quote, horsed around with children. he denies he ever abused them. david lee miller is outside the courthouse tonight. did coach sandusky address these the criminal charges against him or was it that kind of talk. >> it was to use your words that kind of talk. yes. he talked and talked and talked. under advisement of his attorney, he did not discuss these specific allegations. what he spent a great deal of time telling reporters, shepard, was about the hardship he is enduring under house arrest. and he he did talk, he said, about a conversation he had with his wife concerning his grandchildren and how he is not allowed to visit them. when she comes home from visiting with grandchildren and tells me one that of them said the only thing i want for my birthday is to be able to see pop, i'm sensitive to that that's why i came today. >> sandus
