the services so ethics committee takes up the case of sherrif ross mirkarimi. >> good morning. the san fransisco ethics commission hearing begins at 4:30 p.m. here at city hall. last week a judge threw out the sherrif's request to have the hearing dismissed and also last week we learned another lawsuit was filed in this case. the mayor is requesting that phone records from his campaign manager pete turned over. it was the mayor that suspended sherrif ross mirkarimi last month after he was sentenced for one count of false imprisonment. it was an incident that involved the sheriff's wife and it happened on new year's eve just a few days before ross mirkarimi was sworn into office. the ethics commission will hear oral arguments from the attorneys for the city and ross mirkarimi and also review several briefs before making a recommendation to the board of supervisors. it would take nine votes from the 11 supervisors to remove him from office of course that has not yet been determined if the commission will allow live testimony as they continue this misconduct hearing. but we do kno
