stephanie, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, john. just a few minutes ago a small group of about four people from oikos wrapped up the initial cleanup, setup preparations for the memorial service that will happen at 10:00 this morning. they were trimming trees, the weeds, and cutting the lawn and sweeping. all around the memorial you see the messages and flowers left behind. and the school is also focusing on raising money for the victims' families if you go to o oikosuniversity.org you'll see the memorial set up. and the tibetan foundation is trying to collect money for funeral expenses for two students whose families are overseas in india. ♪ and there's also been efforts to heal through music. the school has held daily 30-minute memorial concerts every day except sunday. the noon concerts are open to the public and will continue through april 30th. and that date, april 30th, is also when we expect the suspect one goh to be back in court and perhaps enter a plea to the seven charges of murder and three charges of attempted murder.

stephanie is live from concord with the latest. stephanie, good morning. >> good morning. a lot of people have been stopping by the memorial here along treat boulevard to add to the flowers and candles and messages. today they will get their chance to say their final goodbyes at that funeral service this morning in antioch. family members of the two victims say they are focused on the healing and not on the release of the 17-year-old driver who was accused of killing their loved ones. he was picked up yesterday afternoon by his parents from juvenile hall in martinez. prosecutors had two business days to file charges against the teen but are waiting for police to wrap up their investigation and that could take at least a couple more weeks. family members of the 41-year-old man and his 9-year-old daughter say they understand it will be a long process and they are leaving it in the hands of the legal system. so far police say the teen driver may have been speeding. they are checking cell phone records to see if he may have within distracted. they are also waiting for toxicolo

stephanie, good morning. >> reporter: jon, good morning. ground zero for this is a few hundred feet behind us where you see the orange and construction. part of that pipeline, 40 feet of it has already been removed down there, but it actually runs up and down glen view, just about a foot from the curb. that bothers some of the people that live here and they want to tear up the whole thing, even though it hasn't been used since that explosion in september of 2010. for them really it is an emotional thing, especially when you see the images of the blast that killed eight people, destroyed 38 homes. pg&e and city leaders have been in discussion the last seven months what to do with the 8200 feet of the pipeline in this neighborhood of crestmore. according to the report we got this morning, physically removing the pipeline would take roughly 17 weeks, and would mean ripping up part of the streets again and blocking homes for days at a time. we spoke with neighbors that were split on the issue. some say even though they know the pipeline is inac
