thelma gutierrez is in oakland. good morning, thelma. >> reporter: good morning, carol. the police chief told us that 43-year-old one goh came to oikos university yesterday morning with a very specific plan. they say he was looking for a particular administrator. he grabbed the receptionist. he went looking for that administrator. when he didn't find that person who was not identified and not at the school at the time, he said that they took the receptionist. they went into one of those classrooms. lined four people up against the wall, and as you say, carol, shot each one of them execution style one by one. after that, he left. the police chief told us he had time to reload a ..45 caliber rep and began to return and fire indiscriminately at any students he could find. >> he felt a certain urge to inflict pain on them. he gave us no exact reason why he did that. he just wanted to get back at the administration for dismissing him earlier in the year. he was looking for this one particular administrator that he wanted to seek revenge on. >> reporter: police say after the s

. >> thelma gutierrez is live with us. there have been so many varied reports about how this played out, what happened inside that school, and just what relationship this suspect has with the students. how much more can you piece together for us this morning? >> reporter: well, that is exactly what police are trying to figure out, ashleigh, is exactly what kind of a relationship he had to the students here. did he know them? did he have any kind of a grudge with these students? we still don't know those answers, but i can tell you that the community here is in shock. oikos college is a small christian school. it's a very quiet area. it katers to the korean-american community. people hearsay this kind of thing just doesn't happen at schools like this. but police say that yesterday this quiet school turned into the scene of a very terrible tragedy, a terrible massacre where seven people were killed. police say that 43-year-old one goh was in a nursing classroom. they heard witnesses say somebody yell out, he has a gun, and t

our thelma gutierrez is following this story. she joins us live. what's the significance of not only the video and the people that they were able to speak to but perhaps the people they haven't spoken to in the video? >> reporter: well, ashley, right now tucson police are leaving no stones unturned. this little girl has been missing for a long time and police say it's been a very frustrating case. they leased a surveillance tape to the media hoping somebody would recognize the five people captured on that tape leaving a bar between 1:00 and 1:30 in the morning. the video is very grainy and taken from a high angle possibly a building or parking lot light. isabel celis's father told investigators he put his daughter to bed around 11:00 p.m. and police have now spoken to three of the five people in that videotape. >> one individual self-identified, detectives have spoken with him, took a statement. i think a few other individuals were also identified and they've interviewed those. again, they were from the moment we identified them or put out the vide

thelma gutierrez, cnn. >>> do you enjoy getting your mail on the weekends? we'll tell you how the senate stepped in to save the struggling postal service. >>> thousands of postal workers around the country are breathing a sigh of relief after the senate passed a plan to save the u.s. postal service as well as their jobs. the battle not yet over, however. alison kosik joins us from new york. alison, my grandfather used to work for the post office. it's a good job. we know the house hasn't voted on this yet, but the senate plan essentially is going to help people get back on their feet? >> you're talking about the post office, and, yes, this bill will help the post office, but critics say the problem with this bill is it doesn't go far enough. what the bill winds up doing is making it hard for the usps to make the cuts it needs in the first place to save itself. let me give you the big example. the postal service says it wants to close almost 4,000 locations and the senate bill says, okay, close them but we're going to put restrictions on really whether or not

thelma gutierrez is there at the scene. i understand you have new information. >> reporter: yes. first of all, suzanne, i'll tell that you we spoke with the hospital spokesperson, there were three people wounded in this rampage, all have been treated and released from the hospital so that is good news to report. for last hour we have seen forensic investigators processing the scene. they have been coming in and out of the university and have been looking for evidence. and the key piece of evidence that they are searching for now suzanne, is the murder weapon. possibly a .45 caliber handgun. they are traveling all of the possible routes between the university and the safeway store which is five miles away where that suspect was apprehended yesterday. so, again, looking for that gun and wondering where it might be between the university and that store. >> and tell me, what are we learning about the suspect's motives? >> reporter: well, the police chief told us today that he believes the motive is that one goh was upset at a school administrator, a specific administrator. he was mad
