we are following a developing story out of fairfax county. for the second time this spring, farm animals have been attacked. the latest incident was discovered this morning at frying pan and farm park. >> fairfax county police say they are stepping up patrols in this area as they try to figure out who is attacking these farm animals and why. it has now happened twice. workers may be disturbing discovery when they arrived in the morning. someone slipped into a barn overnight at frying pan park and repeatedly stabbed this calf in the head. you can see multiple stitches. the attacker cut a mother goat and her baby and went to a separate pan and attack the chicken. stunned parents found themselves having to explain what happened to their very young children. >> how awful. who would do that? >> i don't know. >> that's not cool. >> there was a similar incident on april 26, someone slashed several sources, leading them with -- leaving them with deep wounds. >> we do not know whether or not the incidences are related but it's one thing we are looking

a couple weeks ago it was in fairfax county. it equips bikes for kids ages eight to 12 who have learning disabilities and have been able to ride a bike with training wheels but not been able to master without the training wheels. and it teams them up here with middle school volunteers and mentors. and in the course of a week, these kids as you can see here go from not being able to ride a two wheeler to being rolling around, powering on a two wheeler. it's such an empowering thing for the kids and for their parents. it's a wonderful story. >> great story. and finally an exhibit every dog lover will love. >> strafmore has gone to the dogs. the art center has an exhibit called strafmore unleashed. it's on the grounds and mansion. this is called big dog. this is a six foot tall bronze sculpture on the grounds. and this is inside. this is called car door by jackie elli. and if you get close up, the items she has used to create the dog will just delight kids and adults alike. and this is a painting called shore lee by claire hartman.

in fairfax county, three kidnappers are on the loose. police say they abducted a man, robbed him, and threw him into a trunk. it happened earlier this morning on cumberland avenue in springfield. news 4's shomari stone tells us what happened next. >> reporter: good evening. people who live in the springfield area of fairfax county tell me that they are definitely scared. that robbery began here on the 6100 block of cumberland avenue. fairfax county police say two men with masks, one with a cloth over his face, forced a man on this block into his own car at gupt late last night. now, the suspects got in the car with the victim, drove him to two nearby banks, and forced him to withdraw cash. then the man forced the 22-year-old into his trunk, cut him with a knife, closed it and ran away in the area of piedmont place near braddock road. you'll now hear from some people who live in this neighborhood. >> it's nerve-racking, and really sad too, because it can happen to anyone. you don't know when it's going to happen. >> reporter: in fairfax c

news4's megan mcgrath is live in fairfax county with more on this. megan, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, barbara. they've been talking about this project for years. for decades. you take a look behind me, you can see the dulles access road in the center. that's how many people get to the airport right now. of course that's not long-term plan. the plan is to bring metro silver line all the way down to dulles airport. but funding and incentives for the use of union labor have thrown that project into turmoil. later today, transportation secretary ray lahood is going to sit down all the key parties and try to hammer things out. loudoun county has not agreed to pay its share for the cost of final phase ii. and some lawmakers are opposed to millions in incentives offered to contractors, who use or to use union labor. as you know, virginia is a right to work state. there's also in the mix, continued concern over state funding. so a lot of issues out there. and while there's still a lot to be worked out, congressman jerry connolly, thinks the rail

the shooting victim showed up at the fairfax county general district court around midnight. news4's tracee wilkins has the latest from the scene. >> reporter: fairfax county police spokesman say they're still trying to figure out exactly what they're dealing with here. now they know that they have two victims, stabbing victim and a gunshot victim. but they don't know exactly what led to this happening. now the gunshot victim showed up here at a fairfax county county courthouse just before midnight last night. police say he was transported there by a friend who was trying to help. he told police that his stabbing happened in chantilly. he is now being treated for nonlife-threatening injuries. then shortly after that, another victim shows up at the fair oaks hospital. but this man is suffering from a stab wound. he also told police that his stabbing happened in chantilly. but police say beyond that right now, neither one of the victims are being very cooperative, so they don't have a lot of information. but they do believe that these folks knew each other and that this may hav
