fox 5's laura evans is following the story. >> jerry sandusky the former penn state football coach is trying to defend himself against dozens of sex abuse charges. today the first of eight alleged victims testified, what began as soap battles in the shower escalated into inappropriate touching and sex abuse. the prosecution and defense facing off in opening arguments in the trial of retired penn state coach jerry sandusky. one side painted him as a serial predator, the other saying the alleged victims have a financial interest. 68-year-old sandusky battling against 52 criminal counts denying the charges that he sexually abused 10 boys over a period of 15 years. prosecutors say sandusky groomed the boys, gave them gifts and abused them over and over. six of the alleged victims had no father in their lives. the first witness on the stand referred to as victim no. 4 said of sandusky, "he made me feel like i was his girl friend. he acted like he was my dad." >> in sexual accusation cases the credibility of the accuser is paramount of everything that goes on in a case like this. >> reporte

good evening, everyone, thanks for joining us, i'm laura evans. >> and i'm wisdom martin. a family of a missing teenager has been praying for answers, now there are new details, new developments in the case. fox 5's karen gray houston is in the newsr oom latest. karen. >> wisdom and laura, two years after cynthia went missing, a hiker found skeletal remains in the hay market area of prince william county. at the time, police in takoma park and prince william county made no connection. with advances, authorities last month were able to use dna to positively identify those remains as cynthia. cynthia grew up in takoma park. when she was 18, she was attending classes at the old blare high school working on her ged. in april of 1980, she left the family home in a wooded area off the parkway for a job interview. and dropped out of sight. her family reported her missing. >> cindy was a beautiful, vibrant soul. she was a gift to our family. >> felice tried hard to find her. >> we checked with the social security administration, motor vehicle administration, we checked with family

fox 5's laura evans has the developments. >> it was a very emotional and even rivetting day in court today, the 2nd victim known as victim no. 1, crying on the stand as he recounted the alleged sexual attacks that he endured. jerry sandusky leaving a pennsylvania courthouse tuesday afternoon. earlier prosecutors called a key witness to the stand, a teen identified as victim no. 1 by a grand jury. now 18 he told the court sandusky sexually abused him during numerous sleepovers in the basement of the former coach's home while his wife was upstairs. sandusky's defense attorney asked the teen whether there were financial motives for the accusations. the alleged victim answered no. a reporter later asked the attorney for victim no. 1 if it was fair to accuse his client of being in it for the money. >> i think it's fair game and i think it's fair game for cross- examination, particularly when the evidence is so stacked against the defendant. he denied it. it's not why. he's telling his story. he has a duty to law enforcement and to serve the end of justice to tell his story about heinous c

was charged with felony charges and resigned as council chairman, he's in trouble again and fox 5's laura evans has the new details. >> prosecutors are not done with kwame brown yet hit today with a misdemeanor charge for a campaign finance violation that's on top of the felony bank fraud charge and tonight we are seeing for the first time where some of the money according to was going. a luxury boat docked in d.c.'s south bay harbor, one of kwame brown's purchases with money quad lently applied after kwame brown applied -- obtained fraudulently applied for after kwame brown misrepresented his income. first it was federal charges for bank fraud. now brown is charged with one count of unlawful cash campaign expenditure. prosecutors allege brown set up a side account with money from his 2008 campaign and authorized a family member to make withdrawals. since the charges came down there has been only silence from the former chair, his office closed, his name removed. >> it was just shocking to me. >> council member yvette alexander is among many who are concerned about brown and his family. >

i'm laura evans. >> i'm shawn yancy. the weather service issued a heat advisory for tomorrow, so just how high will those temperatures climb? let's get right to gary mcgrady in the weather center with some answers now. >> thanks much. what we're thinking here is the feels like temperature tomorrow and tomorrow afternoon will be able to get up over 100 degrees, maybe even as high as 105 degrees. so as you mentioned, heat advisory is in place tomorrow till 11 a.m. take precautions tomorrow and stay out of the direct sunshine best you can and stay hydrated. just stay inside of cool places. let me show you temperatures out there. they've dropped a little from today's highs, 96 degrees the high temperature today, wasn't a problem, though. the relative humidities were real low and it was fairly comfortable even in the heat of the day and at times with the low relative humidity it actually felt a little cool than it actually was. that won't be the case the next several days. the dew point, the measurement of moisture in the air
