montgomery county assistant fire chief scott graham is on inphone with us to talk about what kind of problems you all are experiencing in montgomery county. chief graham, are you there? >> yes, how are you? >> i'm fine, thank you. how are you? how is montgomery county? what are your issues? >> well, in a word, we're standing up and monitoring the weather throughout the evening. the wave that went through this morning or later this afternoon, a lot of those flooded areas have begun to recede. but not to let that deceive anybody. with additional rain coming through this evening, until approximately 10:00, 11:00 tonight we need to monitor all flooding areas very carefully. montgomery county did activate a partial emergency center and ask agencies such as the police, fire rescue and department of transportation and the utilities to report to the eoc and actually monitor the storm and the activities associated with the storm as it goes through this evening. >> any reports of any injuries from this storm? >> no, not to this point. we've been blessed so far that nothing has occurred. signif

scott, thanks a lot for that. join us now is thomas graham. and tom, you have been out assessing the damage all over. and i think about the guy who just said, i've got to go to work monday and so does she. and he's stuck in a shelter now. how bad is it? when can you get this guy's power restore the? >> -- restored? >> it's as bad as it has everybody been. not since hurricane katrina. we are looking at about a week before we can get service back. we've asked for mutual assistance crews, just like everything utility, nationwide, it's about 4 million customers out of service. so we're working as hard as we can. right now, we have been able to secure about 175 to 200 crews that are coming from florida, oklahoma, georgia and missouri. >> and you have to drive here, right? >> they do have to drive. and if you can imagine, if you know you're not going to be home for a couple of weeks, you have to go home, you have to pack. you have to put all of your materials together. then you have to get on the road and drive several hundred miles. >> so we're tal
