trying to force them to pay fake tax bills.. or face eviction. keith daniels.. live at city police headquarters headquarters with a story you're seeing first on fox.. ke. keith. jennifer and jeff.. police say someone, who claims to be from the city's tax collection office, is making those phone calls. and tonight, we caught up with one of the latest victims. victims. betty eyler is a 78-year-old widow of a retired baltimore city police officer... who says she's never been the victim of a crime... until now.(eyler) "she wanted me to go to the bank....".......police believe eyler is the victim of a scam targeting the elderly. eyler ggt phone call thursday afternoon. the caller, who claimed to be from the city's tax office, said she owed more than 16-hundred dollars in property taxee.... (eyler) "i said i can't understand why you're saying that, everything is paid for.." still, tte caller told eyler to get cash and give it to a sheriff's deputy that would be at her home on boyle street in about 45 minutes. eyler was instruced to pay the money in cash or be evicted.

in the past three days we have received letters from general keith alexander, who is the head of cyber command, as well as the chief of the national security agency; from the secretary of homeland security; and from the joint -- chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, urging us to act immediately on this important legislation. let me just read briefly from all three of these letters. general alexander said the following: "i'm writing to express my strong support for passage of a comprehensive bipartisan cybersecurity bill by the senate this week. the cyber threat facing the nation is real and demands immediate action. the time to act is now. we simply cannot afford further delay." that's what general alexander has told us. secretary napolitano wrote to us: "i'm writing to express my strong support for s. 3414, the cybersecurity act of 2012. i can think of no more pressing legislative need in our current threat environment." the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, general demsey, wrote the following: "i am writing to add my voice to general alexander's and urge immediate passage of co
