other common delusions that are experienced by schizophrenics, we call these delusions of reference or control. patients often feel that they're getting special messages just for them from the television set or the radio. often feel that people can control their minds. so that's a very common set of delusions that are part and parcel to these positive symptoms. delusions of grandeur. patients with schizophrenia often feel they is have special powers. so forth nationally as eric mentioned, most of the drugs that we have today for many patients if not most patients will effectively reduce these symptoms to a great extent. but i think it's important to point out that only about 20% of patients have full remissions. they become completely asymptomatic with medications or other treatments. and about a third of patients don't seem to respond very well at all to the meds. now unfortunately, there are these other symptoms. the negative symptoms it of schizophrenia and the cognitive symptoms. and these are the most pernicious and difficult symptoms to treat. its medicines don't work very well a
