bob redell is live in pleasanton where 680 south was shut down completely after a deadly accident there. bob, good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you, jon. only the left shoulder is open right now. all four lanes are still shut down. chp telling us they hope to have those lanes opened within an hour, though that timeline could be sped up. what happened is somebody was struck in the middle of the road around 3:30 this morning. you can see the coroner's van is here. they just removed that body, which seems to be a little bit sooner than was expected so it's quite possible the road could be opened up sooner than expected. what still needs to happen is the fire department needs to come out here and/or caltrans and do a quick cleanup. there's also a couple of cars that need to be removed. a person in a small car hit this person in the middle of the road. it was a man. around 3:30 this morning. it was not a hit and run. the driver of the car did stop and is cooperating with chp. it does not appear that the person who was hit was a driver who had a stall or a road emergency or anything

pleasanton 97. a big spread because as we take a peek outside, the golden gate sock and as it has been for much of the day. the city only managed low to mid '60's. nearly a 40 degree temperature swing. 40 degrees is pretty big. here's a look at high-definition doppler radar where you have the mid 80s. san jose, you topped out in the '80s as well and we are dry on the radar but not clear on the satellite review. lots of cloud cover sitting off the coast working its way through the golden gate right now, what is happening right now is high-pressure park itself to the south of us and what we're seeing is a continued onshore flow. what is going to happen over the next several days, a dome of high pressure keeping us dry but it will slide down to the south and as it does, we will bring back the onshore flow, it will not be that strong but strong enough to drop temperatures a couple of degrees. at the '90s will become the 80s, the '80s will become the '70s and the 60s in san fransisco will stay at the 60s
