connell: thank you very much. there is fresh white house reaction just coming in from this morning's jobs data. peter barnes has the reaction. peter: the numbers came in about as expected. the 150,000 new jobs was about the same pace that we have seen on average each month for the last two years. job creation may have gotten a little boost from hurricane sandy. construction added 30,000. maybe some places where placing damaged cars in december. a little surprise in the unemployment report is the rate was unchanged in november once it was revised up. we made a big deal about this when it dropped to 7.7% from 7.9% in october. the labor department announced its regular annual adjustment of its reports because of seasonal factors affected just one month, november. >> there are some signs that the holiday shopping season started earlier. also, because of internet sales we are affecting package delivers. the nature doesn't change as the economy evolves around time. the bureau regularly need to keep up with those changes
