prince frederick an inch and a half. and this was the scene out of pasadena, maryland, earlier this morning. they had about an inch. they probably had 2 or so. for today looking at our day planner, we're going to turn partly sunny. another breezy and another cold day. average high is 44. we'll be lucky to get to 30, 31 with the northwesterly winds gusting 20 miles an hour. it's going to feel like it's in the low 20s today. but generally dry once we get rid of this disturbance which is pulling away from us from the south and east. you really see how it's starting to break up some. yeah, still light snow and could be for another hour, hour and a half tops. it's starting to break up on the radar, an indication of the system pulling away. cold air meant for a fluffy snowfall with temperatures in the teens to the north, mid-20s in richmond and a quick look at our local temperatures getting ready to go out for the morning. maybe you're going to be delayed a couple hours with the school delays. 19 in town. we have 18 in ashburn

we are on interstate 270 southbound in frederick county just outside urbana. there was a report of an accident. we are getting ready to approach the accident scene within the next couple seconds or so. i've got to be honest, we took 270 northbound to get through frederick county. as we drove through montgomery, the roads on 270 got progressively worse. there is still a lot of it slick spots in frederick county. the roads have not been plowed. we're getting ready to pass right here on the right side of the road. you can see the state trooper with two cars on the side of the road. they have gotten into an accident. the backup stretch for couple miles. we just passed the accident, but it is still a slow drive on 270 southbound in frederick county. the roads here are not as good as they were in montgomery county and as you got closer inside the beltway. we continue checking the road conditions here in maryland. right now we are headed southbound towards montgomery county and inside the beltway. another live update from maryland in a couple minutes. back to you. >>
