michelle griego in new orleans this morning. michelle, i understand you met up with some little ones and found unique ways on how they not only enjoyed the fun but get to see it, as well. >> well, frank, we always see these images of mardi gras and we think it's an adult celebration but it's a family affair. the kids are on the parade route. the name of the game is how many beads you can get so the parents make them some cool contraptions to get as many beads as possible. i have seen these along the parade routes. >> people buy them at hardware stores. they are perfect for the kids. they can stay up here, they're safe, out of harm's way and they can catch lots of beads. >> that's the name of the game. >> i just loving catching some beads and having some fun. >> reporter: no one falls off? >> i haven't seen it. you have to watch them and make sure an adult is on the back of the ladder and not drinking beer. >> reporter: what you do with all these beads? >> we sometimes give them away for the next parade. >> reporter: i love this.

he is live in new orleans. we start with that insane ravens rally at the inner harbor and tonight in the big easy. >> it doesn't get much better than that. that is a full day when you start with thousands of ravens fans in a driving rainstorm. they were not at all affected by the weather. the weather in new orleans is spectacular. they got into town about 3:15. the super dome is spectacular. it stands out in the landscape as you come into new orleans. imagine how it looks for those who who never played at a super bowl. it was a 2 1/2-hour flight to new orleans. for some, the trip to the super bowl took 15 years. >> i mean, i don't think it stifled joe in any way like that. joe is joe. the progression of a quarterback and his career and what he has gone through and accomplished this year, it is just a progression. people are going to view it a certain way like oh, joe broke through. joe has been winning games since day one, since he got here. he is still a relatively young quarterback. >> and he has one more gam

new orleans, 76 degrees. a lot of that wants will move into the mid-atlantic. we will track that in just a couple of minutes. >> a late-night shooting in southwest baltimore leads a 32- year-old man dead and police are on the lookout for a person who pulled the trigger. it happens just before midnight on sunday. police tell us that is where they found terry williams line on the ground suffering from several gunshot wounds. he died a short time later at shock trauma. police in anne arundel county have arrested three people in a weakened homicide and two of the suspects are a father and daughter. 48-year-old eric bank is awaiting a court appearance, but his daughter erica is already behind bars. it happened just after 4:00 in a wooded area. preliminary investigation reveals the victim was involved in an ongoing dispute with the 27-year-olds erica. her father is charged with first-degree murder. police are still trying to figure out why the suspects and the victim were together. city police have identified the officer and suspect involved in a deadly exchange of g
