juliette for external affairs. the purpose of this presentation is to give all a brief update for the workforce initiative over the summer to be a good neighbor as well as deal with the issues of the agencies. and so today i'll give you both - a quick update of the add back to the san francisco utilities. talk to you how we're to maximize the youth issues over the summer by leveraging the programs that the puc is having. and developing core elements across the internship programs and i'll close with the next steps that closing includes an item you'll be looking at in our business section. so for the current budget cycle the board of supervisors added back one-hundred $4 million to be used in the youth programs. this is consistent with the mayor's effort to really lift up and maximize opportunities over the summer. to his goal is to make sure that 6 thousand people are to be employed. and the summer we have about seven hundred and 20 told us every year. and for this upcoming summer we're implementing budget deadline

is trying to do or consider it more external interference in korean's affairs. >> our relationship with china is an interesting relationship. on a lot of areas we strong agreement, on some areas disagreement, but it's interesting to see where we and are hutch progress we have made. on north korea, it's a complicated issue for china. it's a border country. they're nervous about who is just across their 800-kilometer border. one of the areas of concern for us is that, for north koreans who want to leave north korea and go elsewhere, the only way out is through china. the north koreans have kept the border very tight. there are indications it's becoming increasingly difficult to get across the boredder in the last year -- border in the last year or so. we have expressed our concerns to china because when north koreans make it to china, frequently if they're captured, they're returned to north korea as economic immigrants. it is hard for us with our own border problems to be too critical of china on this issue. we have argued that in fact these are not economic immigrants as much as they're

. >> the bad news just got worse -- economic affairs commissioner had to tell the media that europe's economy must depend on other parts of the world for+ help. >> increasing external demand is set to be the main growth driver since domestic demand is still foundering. >> the picture the commission paints is grim. it sees the eurozone economy shrinking 0.4% this year. growth should return in 2014, but it would be more muted than previously forecast. one devastating effect of the recession as mass unemployment in europe, especially among young people. even core economies are weakening. france should contract slightly, and paris will seriously overstep the eurozone's budget deficit ceiling. >> in france, the recovery is expected to be delayed, which evidently has repercussions on public finance. the french forecast is in our view overly optimistic. a significant effort would be required. >> brussels is to grant paris two extra years to cut its deficit to under 3%. >> let's bring in our correspondent from brussels. from your perch, how does all this look? is europe finally hitting the bo
