westbound 580 approaching north flynn. and as you can see, we have a good long line of brake lights coming behind it. it's slow from 205 out of tracy continuing. once you get past the north flynn exit, then we see speeds improve dramatically but the drive time is up to 15 minutes. that's a good delay, 15 minutes between the altamont pass and the dublin interchange. our other slower spot is the bay bridge toll plaza. it looks like more commuters this morning at this time are trying to get a head start beat the gridlock we saw yesterday. so the delays are longer than yesterday at this time of the morning. just in those cash lanes. the fastrak users the typical commuters who do this every morning, they know the drill and they are getting by okay. the folks that maybe usually use bart are getting stuck in the minor backups for now. but unfortunately, the delays are growing. they have not turned the metering lights on yet. let's get a look at the san mateo bridge. it's a great alternate if the bay bridge gets busy. lawrence has

so give yourself extra time towards north flynn and the rest of the livermore valley. the worst commutes yesterday the bay bridge definitely a hotspot as well as a lot of commutes getting there in the east bay, 24, 880, east east, all of these parallel bart lines, we expect these to be the real problem spots. some people were waiting in commutes an hour plus so you don't want to get in that. consider using a carpool. find a friend, stranger, those carpool lanes were hardly used at all especially towards the bay bridge. muni offering their extra service. caltrain going to try to step up service as much as they can but already they are pretty much at capacity. ac transit is offering extra transbay buses between east bay and san francisco. the ferries another great option with very long lines. golden gate ferry offering the regular service. they are at capacity as well but out of alameda and vallejo you will find extra boats. samtrans stepping things up, as well. outside, here's a live look at the nimitz. 880 in oakland, caltrans let us know they actually picked up their
