hernandez slammed the door and relocked it behind him. mr. hernandez did not ask officers whose death was being investigated. mr. hernandez' demeanor did not indicate any concern for the death of any person. one other interesting fact, shep, from these. during those police searches, they went to his hometown of bristol connecticut. apparently there they found a vehicle wanted nection in july of 2012 double homicide. these documents say that that vehicle was rented in hernandez name. that is all new from these documents tonight, shep. >> shepard: the investigation explodes. what is the pats boss saying. >> robert cross speaking out for the first time about. this he apparently summoned several boston reporters to his office he believed he was a good kid. the patriots organization hadn't had any problems with him. he went on to say, quote: if this stuff is true. then i have been duped and a whole organization has been duped. he spoke to me about wanting to be a role model in the hispanic community. i believed him. he knew how to push my buttons.

hernandez now, it gets worse and worse each day. these videos although they're grainy do appear to show a 0.45 caliber weapon and that was the type of weapon of choice for this execution. i say execution because we hear a lot about 0.9 millimeter round, a 0.45 millimeter round is twice the size, five shots into this victim, that's execution style, that's with intent, that's with bad intent. they found casings at his home. that surveillance system we mentioned that was found to be intentionally destroyed by hernandez yet the data was recovered. and his cell phone was destroyed and data was recovered off that. >> they got him. >> and the grainy pictures and his co-person and his buddy that was with him tonight. >> that's ernest. >> he's singing. he's laying it on heavy incriminating hernandez. >> it seems like there's mounting evidence. >> by the way, there is -- there is a probable cause hearing coming up on the 22nd of august, pamela, and the question will be, will the defense use that hearing to hear more evidence from prosecution?

"the boston globe" reports a grand jury is hearing evidence that could tie hernandez to two other deaths. susan candiotti is in attleboro, massachusetts. what's the purpose of today's hearing? >> reporter: first of all, you know, this is accused murderer aaron hernandez will be breaking the monotony of sitting in his jail cell to attend today's probable cause hearing. at a probable cause hearing prosecutors put more evidence into the record to prove the strength of their case. however, oftentimes they ask for more time or continue wants and that's probably what's going to happen here today and here is why. we know and reported and according to the sources a grand jury has been meeting to consider evidence in this case. and charges are likely within the next week or two. since that is the case, it is very likely that the prosecutors need to ask for more time and judges generally

that is one of hernandez' friends. the other won carlosor tease charged with unlawful possession of a firearm. he reports back to court on august 14th. the photos are part of a' released. judge approved a media petition to make it all public. we are learning more and more, shep. >> shepard: holding hernandez without bail the next hearing in his case is in four weeks. prosecutors today rested their case in the mob boss of whitey bulger after months of intense and graphic testimony. whitey bulger stands accused of taking part in 19 murders during the 1970s and 80's. the state called 63 witnesses to the stand. today an fbi special agent described how investigators finally busted him in southern california. they said he lured them out of apartment by claiming that somebody had robbed his storage locker. when they arrested him, he first gave a false name and then said: you know who i am. i applewhitey bulger. and he led them to 30 guns and $100 million in cash most of which he had hidden inside his apartment walls. remember

aaron hernandez has to fall into the latter category. the plethora of evidence he left, this incriminating trail of evidence is quite stunning. if the evidence is to be believed, he left a huge trail behind, didn't he? >> this search warrant would suggest that. certainly the folks he's hanging around with didn't have his back the way that aaron hernandez would have thought they did. the fact that carlos ortiz led them to this condo which is 5-10 miles from aaron hernandez' house. that would suggest that maybe aaron hernandez' character judgment wasn't so great. >> they have all kinds of surveillance videotape that all but has aaron hernandez pulling the trigger. all the way down to bubble gum and probably some dna evidence that was left behind. >> absolutely. the prosecutor said in court they basically traced his route from boston picking up odin lloyd, and to the industrial park and out of his house. four men leave aaron hernandez's house in west chester. and they have him in his own house on surveillance cameras with a gun in his hand.
