i'm anne-marie green. well, this morning it's unclear what caused a passenger plane to jump the tracks in northwestern spain. local officials say at least 77 people were killed. more than 100 others were injured. the eight-car train derailed on a sharp curve near the city of santiago decompostela before sunset yesterday. the derailment was so violent that rail cars were thrown on top of each other. there were 218 passengers on board and many of them were trapped in the wreckage. alphonso van marsh has more. >> reporter: firefighters doused a smoking train car shortly after the derailment in northwestern spain. rescuers rushed to the crash that happened just before 9:00 p.m. wednesday on a curvy stretch of track by the city of sant santee yago. the eight-car train was traveling from madrid. this man says, i heard an explosion and when i arrived, one of the carriages was already over the road that comes out from over there. investigators spent the night combing through toppled rail cars. one was severed in t

i'm anne-marie green. well, the ntsb is learning more about what happened in the cockpit right before asiana flight 214 crashed. they interviewed the pilots and say there's no indication they declared an emergency and the airlines pilots association is now lashing out at the ntsb. they say the agency is fueling speculation the pilots were at fault before all the facts are known. bigad shaban has more on the investigation. >> reporter: federal investigators are focusing on the final seconds of asiana airline flight 214. the boeing 777 apparently came in too low and too slow during landing saturday and crashed at san francisco international airport. >> there were three pilots in the cockpit at the time of the crash. >> reporter: the pilot sitting in the left seat was still in training, and it was his first landing at san francisco in a 777. next to him sat his instructor, a senior pilot, who has logged more than 3,000 hours flying that type of plane. but it was his first flight as an instructor pilot. >> thi

i'm anne-marie green. well, a series of explosions destroyed a propane plant northwest of orlando, florida, late last night. seven people were injured, but no one died. the blue rhino plant in tavares resells propane tanks like the ones used in barbecues. up to 26 people were working the night shift when the first blast blew the roof off the plant. flames that shot hundreds of feet high could be seen for miles. tara mergener has more. >> reporter: a huge fireball shot into the sky, as explosions rocked a propane company in tavares, florida, near orlando. >> like a big circle of fire. >> reporter: the blast started around 10:30 at the blue rhino propane facility, a company that exchanges and cleans propane tanks. at least two dozen employees were in the building at the time of the blast. >> i heard an explosion, and it probably threw me back about three feet. i landed on my butt and i kind of seen like blurry, and my ears were ringing real bad. all i could see is everyone just running. i just kind of got up
