rick scott. republican governor of florida. rick scott reportedly has not shown up at the florida state capitol building for nine days. he reportedly has not been to his own office, the governor's office in tallahassee for at least three days. rick scott does not seem to be missing because of some kind of foul play or hike in the appalachian trial or anything like that. rather rick scott has seemed to be in hiding from this. a whole bunch of mostly young citizens in his state camped out at his office protesting. saying they want to meet with the governor and they want him to call the florida legislature back into session into a special legislative session to consider what they are calling the trayvon martin civil rights act. with that act they want lawmakers and governor scott to repeal florida's stand your ground law. the law that says who gets to shoot whom in florida and under what circumstances. these protesters marched into rick scott's office on tuesday of this week. they announced they would not leave until they got a me

>> reporter: scott, n.t.s.b. chairman deborah hersman has just completed briefing us interviews with these pilots. of the four pilots three of them were on the flight deck at the time of the landing. here's what she had to say about the supervising pilot on the flight deck. >> he reported that this was his first trip as an instructor pilot. this was the first time that he and the flying pilot that he was instructing had flown together. >> reporter: teams of n.t.s.b. investigators are examining the plane inside and out, locating and recording every piece of debris from landing gear ripped from the jet to the smallest piece of fuselage. the cockpit could hold clues to verify statements given by the pilots. the pilot in control of the plane was sitting in the left- hand seat. it was his first landing at san francisco in a boeing 777. he was being trained by the captain sitting in the right- hand seat. the senior pilot had more than 3,000 hours flying experience in a triple-7 but the airline says he was certified as

>> reporter: well, scott, this is the fourth day of the heat wave here in new york. at this hospital and others, they're starting to see more people succumb to the heat. we were with this ambulance crew for just two minutes before they got their first heat-related call. amcky robinson heads up the team in brooklyn. >> as an e.m.t., we have to really watch out for heat stroke, heat exhaustion. as a matter of fact, they are dropping like flies even as we talk. my units are very, very busy. >> reporter: in philadelphia, which had its hottest day of the year so far, the city has activated its heat emergency hot line. saint luke's roosevelt hospital in new york city is treating patients for dehydration and heat stroke. dr. jeffrey rabrich says they're averaging about a dozen patients a day. he expects more. >> this heat wave, it's been staying hot at night. we've been seeing particularly respiratory problems. >> everyday the heat wave continues. >> the risk is higher. each day of had added heat increases the risk for heat stroke and respiratory problems. >> reporter: roos
