mopping up after two separate brush fires in the oakland hills. both fires broke out around 11:30 last night on opposite sides of the park. 60 firefighters from both the oakland and cal fire departments were called to fight those fires. both fires were contained about 3:00 this morning.

the oakland police department and c.h.p. officers break up the crud and at that point it moved to downtown oakland and people continued to march around the downtown and police say some ones were smashed, graffitis with sprayed on businesses and people threw bottles at police officers and set shawl fires. the protest was to make a state about the verdict against george zimmerman and he was found not guilty in the killing of trayvon martin. this was the third day of protests here in oakland. police arrested nine people last night including a juvenile and say most of those arrested have addresses outside of oakland. police are asking anyone with video of people committing crimes to please hand it over to the oakland police department. the profits turn violent in los angeles, as well, with 13 people face charges. 150 people broke off from a larger group and started attacking cars and businesses. a news crew was assaulted. authorities say 300 officers were called in. >> george zimmerman's parents tell abc7 news barbara walters in
