you have the black america votes 96% democratic. you see high profile cases, o.j. simpson, more recently the zimmerman case. very different reactions along racial lines. why do you think that is, sir? >> first of all, i want to say that when you start talking about the word apartheid, that comes from apartness, that's a rigid system of segregation based upon race, i think that the question that was asked was totally, you know, uncalled for, when you look at america. i think once again, you have a push by certain individuals within the black community to try to keep this stoking of racial division. and also, have you a media that chimes in with the sensationalism of that, we definitely saw that in the zimmerman case, during the o.j. simpson case and the rodney king case. you have so many other horrible events, what just happened in chicago with the murders there. we had the incident in brunswick, georgia, where two parents shot a baby in the face right in front of the mother. you don't hear any leaders in the black community talking about that. i think it's an issue

what i love about you, you have myrlie ever williams, trey songz and bishop jones on at the same time. the reason it's important we need all parts to work together. black people haven't changed that much but the difference between us now and in the '50s and '60s, everything was all on one accord. all parts whether faith leaders, popular culture, everything was driving in one direction because there was a sense of urgency. now what we lack is a sense of urgency so don't have all parts of our culture driving in one direction toward a common goal and i think for the faith community of african-americans still look to our pastors for guidance and for wisdom still more than any other part of culture but younger african-americans look to pop culture so we need a bridge to get our younger african-american brothers who are in the media, who are in sports, who are in movies or television to get on one accord with our faith leaders and start to create a civil rights agenda for the 21st rent i. >> you have been able to merge the pop culture and the church unlike most ministers out here today. how
