dpw as a rule does not do the abatement. so, whether they are or aren't using the correct materials to remove it off of brick, it's based on who they hire or who they get to do the work. we are aware for the time when we did do t we have several different products based on the type of surface. and staff was trained at that time, but that's when we were doing abatement on private property. >> i can just help a little bit. again, from the historic building perspective, of course, private property can be historic, too. but there's a difference between, of course, when it's a public owned building or private owned building. perhaps some of it is an awareness or an education about resource he he that are available. there's a whole gamut of people available to remove graffiti, people who have never done it before, maybe they're painters but they just have access to materials and they are used to taking paint off. i guess farther down the spectrum of people that have never done it before and just want to be good citizens to remove

the former head of the transportation authority and head of dpw went to meet with the head of caltrans late last year to ensure their support and helping to move this along, so i don't want us to throwing them under the bus. it's their road and they have been pretty good to work with. the schedule hasn't really slipped much i don't think in the last year, or the record of decision we were hoping would be earlier this year. as peter said should be around september, and the way it works is the environmental will be certified by the transportation authority commission. that will really kind of lock inue were talking about the hard decisions and mostly about travel lanes and parking. when they do that -- i mean to some extent you have both done that, their commission and this board, and the approval of the locally preferred alternative. presuming they certify the environmental and maybe it will change based on the comments and nonetheless it will come here for approval. the parking changes are well defined. with your approval of those that's the main trade off decisions that we typically f

i'm proud for munis and the commission and they are working with dpw. speaking about dpw, muhammad and i worked together and we literally saw people who realized the second the bus arrives they can't eat on the bus. so where do they toss it? if they weren't looking or realized there was a trash can next to them as most bus stops do have them. they were irresponsible. we literally saw people tossing things as they got on boarding the buses. that's not good behavior. obviously we need to do a lot more education. we need to end that practice and we need to keep and attitude, a very spirit of keeping our public assets clean and beautiful as you see them today. this is what these buses ought to look like a few years from now. we know they won't, but we need to keep that attitude in the city, not only with our youth but everybody in the city of all ages we see them discarding waste material onto the streets. we have a crew of people picking these up and reminding folks. we wanted to change things. that is part of using the giant sweep in the world ferries tha

very proud of our partnership with dpw. we exceeded the local workforce standards significantly. so, again, we're very proud of the local hire that we've had there. we are now beginning to ask in our budget for investing in post occupancy of these facilities. we want to make sure that those libraries that were completed early on in the program will have some dollars to replace everything from carpeting to hvac system as they're needed. we're also investing in custodial and security services and certainly the sustainability efforts through purchasing, recycling and managing our facilities through efficiencies is a key priority. in terms of overtime, it represents less than one-10th of 1%. so, it's a very small number. so 60,000 over our $92 million. most of these are associated with maintenance that has to happen during the closed hours. so, really it's a very small dollar amount and we're trying to be as efficient as possible at reducing overtime costs and we'll continue to do that. then we move on to another key initiative
