ktvu's janine de la vega joins us from fremont now to tell us the story of the heroic rescue. good afternoon, janine. >> reporter: good afternoon, tori. well, fire investigators have been here all morning combing through this house looking for clues as to how this fire started. you can see it's roped off. it's gutted. the three people inside were rescued after a police officer spotted a man trapped behind that window. this home on fairwell drive off mowry looked like a fireball as flames engulfed it at 4:30 a.m. the fire ate away at the roof at firefighters attacked it. >> the flames were probably shooting 60 feet in the air. >> i was concerned my house was gonna catch on fire. we have wood shake roof. >> reporter: a couple of and an adult son were trapped inside. police officers and firefighters worked together to pull the victims out of the side window. >> a police officer drove his unit up to the house. firefighters were able to get on the hood an pull out the first victim who was conscious at the time. >> reporter: another man and woman were found inside unconscious. they
