let's check in with bob redell live in the car making his way to the bay bridge. last time we checked in you were along 880. how is it looking now? >> reporter: we're approaching the maze, westbound 580 now in oakland as you are making the bend into the maze. we went on from westbound 24 to here. and if you starting probably back in clairemont, 24, where you really see the back up and we're in it now so. heading north. trark was at the limit. a lot of concession and i would in my opinion say this is unusual. you are seeing the effects of the part strike. 400,000 people usually rely on take those trains so you have potentially a good chuck of people crowding at the roads now. as you're seeing the brake lights, try to get across the bay bridge i know you can't see this but i'm looking a good mile away from me and i see a lot of break lights not moving. i'm looking at the flat section approaching the toll plaza. once we get through-this mess here we'll probably be in traffic longer. my guess from our position we're as thing the home depot and ikea to my right on west
