we have been seeing a lot of rain here across the western seaboards of indochina peninsula for a few weeks already. with this storm nearing, it doesn't look like it's going to be good news we'll keep a close eye on this, we have to keep a close eye on other storms as well. you can see three storms over the water. the water is very warm. the warm sea surface means it will be feeding the system. we have a system just below the eastern coast of japan, and it's affecting the iso islands reaching up to 70 kilometers per hour. it will be making storm surges and highways along the pacific coast of japan, looks like this will be continuing. with the rain, we're seeing showers across the region. this will be traveling across the pacific ocean with sometimes very hev have a rain and with that combined with the high waves, flooding at low lying coastal areas will be at very high risk. another storm system over east of the philippines, not affecting land masses now, it will be headed toward oaken awe wau, and this will be fed, energized with the warm water and it will become a typhoon status. by

here across the philippines and the indochina peninsula more rain to be hitting the western seaboards as well as the coast. thailand, no warnings in place. which is great news. a little break from that. surging from the moisture of the south china sea will be bringing in buckets full of rainfall to vietnam. we are looking at high pressure. humidity down to 30% in parts of china but likely to see a rainy saturday in japan. now across the americas, the last few days it was very calm. but now we have a tropical storm, severe weather and heavy snow as well as santa ana winds to talk about. but let me start by introducing you karen. it looks like it's not going to be a hurricane, but it will be bringing hurricane-force winds into louisiana and florida. not only the gusts, but the dumping of the rain will be quite significant as this system moves toward the east, due to the descending frontal line merging with this system and that's going to be bringing drenching amounts of rainfall in the next few days. not only that, but we have severe weather that is moving across the eastern half of the

peninsula. bringing downpours. significant amounts of rainfall again will be upping the risks of flooding and lapped slides here. another area moving into japan here across the region in the evening houring, will be bringing some heavy rain, but that's not until the afternoon -- sleeng hours. but do carry umbrellas if y0u7 ear going to be out and about. high pressure will be predominant in other areas of the eastern continental asia. now towards europe, we have a dry zone across much of the scandinavia and central regions with this big high pressure system sitting on fop of it. but that's making this system to be blocking some persistent showers. so we'll be here in the british isles. and then that will be moving into the low countries. we're looking at some cool temperatures underneath that high pressure system. especially bucharest, with clear skies and also the less winds. your lows will be down to about minus 1 due to the radiation cooling caused. here in kiev, you may see mixed precipitatio

peninsula. again, it's now strengthened to a cyclonic storm and will likely move north and northwest, probably hit odisha by the weekend as a very severe cyclonic storm. so we have to monitor this system as well. temperatures are going to be in the 30s in hong kong as well as taipei. but towards the north, very chilly in ulan bator. 6 degrees for the high. in beijing, 21 degrees. cloudy but windy conditions that could ease hazy conditions there. across the americas, we have a slow-moving low pressure system across the east coast. the center is now located over the mid-atlantic coast. and as you can see, it's not going to move. that means heavy rain will continue. so flood risk will remain very high for the next few days. also strong winds will raise the potential for beach erosion across coastal areas. behind it we have a winter storm over the southwest. it's now producing some snow showers for the sierras. and that could reach colorado and utah on wednesday and then move over towards the north
